PhotoID - Interop testing & Showcase in La Ciotat, France
Dear members of digital identity community,
We are getting in touch with you today about upcoming events organized by France Titres (former Agence Nationale des Titres Sécurisés) in the South of France in La Ciotat.
Following an ISO/IEC meeting held in La Ciotat on mobile Driving Licence standardisation, France Titres will organize an Interoperability testing and Showcase around PhotoID. It will take place in La Ciotat, South of France, from Wednesday the 27th of May until Friday the 29th of May.
The PhotoID standard (ISO/IEC 23220) is directly inspired from the mDL standard (ISO/IEC 18013) and supports further use cases to ensure storage, transmission, and identity verification with an electronic attestation of the portrait of the holder. After technical consideration, PhotoID is the best norm for an identity container and be compatible with the eIDAS wallet all EU member states must implement.
Beyond the interoperability testing where we welcome any form of PhotoID presentation of verification, we will equip volunteers with an ad-hoc version in production of France Identité for airport and border crossing use cases at Aéroport Marseille Provence airport.
Those with mDOC capabilities for presentation or verification, please subscribe on the test management platform: https://france2026.mdoc.online/Account/Register
We address this communication first hand to ISO/IEC meeting participants but would also to benefit from the involvement of Aptitude (WP3 and WP4) and UNFOLD members.
We welcome you to join us in La Ciotat, South of France, for this 3 days event from Wednesday the 27th of May until Friday the 29th of May!
Regards,
Arjan Geluk, A4Advisory, Coordinator
Anthony Carmoy, France Titres, Host
