TMC IdeaLab | Psychological Safety & Empathy in High Change Environments
In periods of sustained change, leaders are often asked to move faster while asking more of their teams. Psychological safety and empathy are frequently cited as essential—but can feel difficult to operationalize when pressure, uncertainty, and fatigue are high.
What We’ll Explore Together
In this Idea Lab, TMC members will explore how psychological safety and empathy show up in real leadership decisions during high-change environments. We’ll discuss where well-intended efforts break down, how leaders balance care with performance expectations, and which behaviors most reliably sustain trust, learning, and resilience over time.
What to Expect from a TMC IdeaLab
Light framing to set the context (no long presentations)
Majority of the time spent in high-trust discussion with peers
Space to pressure-test ideas, assumptions, and use cases
Walk away with insights and next-step considerations shaped by the collective experience in the room
This session is open to invited guests. TMC members are welcome to extend an invitation to a peer who would benefit from the conversation.
