Innovators Club: Rocketgrip
Jaunā RSU Biznesa inkubatora sezona sākas ar jaunu tikšanās vietu tiem, kas interesējas par inovācijām, jaunuzņēmējiem vai gluži vienkārši vēlas uzzināt ko jaunu - inovatoru klubu!
Inovatoru klubā reizi mēnesī viesosies uzņēmēji, investori un citas iedvesmojošas personības. Viesi dalīsies ne tikai ar saviem lielākajiem sasniegumiem, bet arī ar kļūdām, smagiem lēmumiem un ķibelēm, kas reizēm ir daudz interesantāki par veiksmes stāstiem.
🏒 Pirmajā Inovatoru klubā tiksimies ar Rocketgrip dibinātāju Akselu Zinguli.
Rocketgrip stāsts sākās vēl vidusskolā, kad Aksels un Reinis meklēja labāku alternatīvu ierastajai hokeja nūju lentei. No šķietami vienkāršas ikdienas problēmas viņi radīja Latvijā ražotu produktu, kas šobrīd tiek izmantots vairāk nekā 60 valstīs. Aptuveni 95% Rocketgrip produkcijas tiek eksportēti, bet uzņēmuma produktu klāsts no hokeja ir paplašinājies arī uz citiem sporta veidiem.
Kā ideja, kas radās skolas solā, pārtapa starptautiskā biznesā? Kā atrast īsto materiālu un ražotāju, ja tev vēl nav pieredzes, kontaktu vai iespaidīga uzņēmuma aiz muguras? Un ko darīt, kad sākotnējā ideja sastopas ar biznesa realitāti?
To pastāstīs Aksels. Tāpat būs iespēja uzdot jautājumus, iepazīties ar citiem inovāciju un uzņēmējdarbības interesentiem un pie uzkodām pārrunāt idejas, kas, iespējams, pagaidām dzīvo tikai piezīmēs, bet nākotnē pārtaps par reālu uzņēmumu.
Inovatoru klubs aicināts ik viens - studenti, pētnieki, uzņēmēji, inovāciju entuziasti un katrs, kurš sapņo par savu uzņēmējdarbību.

The new season of the RSU Business Incubator begins with a new meeting place for those interested in innovation and start-ups, or simply eager to learn something new: the Innovators Club!
Once a month, the Innovators Club will welcome entrepreneurs, investors and other inspiring personalities. Our guests will share not only their greatest achievements, but also the mistakes, difficult decisions and unexpected setbacks that are sometimes far more interesting than success stories.
🏒 At the first Innovators Club, we will meet Rocketgrip founder Aksels Zingulis.
The Rocketgrip story began while Aksels and Reinis were still in secondary school and searching for a better alternative to traditional hockey stick tape. From a seemingly simple everyday problem, they created a Latvian-made product that is now used in more than 60 countries. Around 95% of Rocketgrip’s production is exported, while its product range has expanded beyond hockey into other sports.
How did an idea born at school grow into an international business? How do you find the right materials and manufacturer when you have little experience, few contacts and no established company behind you? And what happens when your original idea meets the realities of building a business?
Aksels will tell us all about it. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions, meet others interested in innovation and entrepreneurship, and discuss ideas over snacks. Ideas that may currently exist only in your notes but could one day become real businesses.
Everyone is welcome at the Innovators Club: students, researchers, entrepreneurs, innovation enthusiasts and anyone who dreams of starting a business of their own.
