Why hack a mobile phone as a sensor for robots?
A lot of built-in sensors - like the motion sensor, camera, microphone and magnetometer - are actually quite similar to sensors made for robots 📸
In resource-limited settings, it could be cool to repurpose existing mobile phones as sensor-rich devices to help robots navigate safely 🚗
What will we be doing?
Build a mobile app that leverages built-in sensors as a "hack" to estimate position!
Identify different objects in an environment
Based on user instructions, identify which tools to call
Will there be a robot?
Ahh! No actual 'robot' - however, the problems we solve are directly taken from robotics! 🎉
