There's an alarm going off at 5am. That's the discomfort. Everything after it is the good part.
On the 30th of August, to celebrate Seeker's Day: Seekers in Toronto, Cork, London, Ghent, Rotterdam, New Delhi and Mumbai are all waking up before the world does and showing up to meet strangers. Same morning, same sun, seven cities. You just have to be the kind of person who actually gets out of bed for it.
Here's what happens when you do:
We watch the sun come up together.
We share a picnic- bring something to eat, something to share, or just bring yourself.
We play Spark, the card game we made for exactly this: turning strangers into people you know.
No agenda beyond that. No networking. Just early light, food on a blanket, and conversations that are better than they have any right to be at 6 am.
That's the whole point- most people here won't know anyone either, and by the time the sun is up, that won't be true anymore.
What to bring
Something for the potluck (optional, but generous)
A blanket or something to sit on
A jacket- mornings are colder than you think
Water, and a friend if you must
