In today’s world, we sometimes tend to stay within our comfort zones, connecting mainly with those who share our backgrounds or beliefs—while holding biases against unfamiliar perspectives.
As facilitators and experience designers, we have the power to break down these barriers. Through creative, novel approaches, we can foster meaningful and positive connections 💛
Join us for a Sandbox session led by Büşra Serdar, where we’ll explore the potential of gamified experiences. Whether it’s bridging ideological divides or sparking deeper conversations, gamification offers a fun yet effective way to help people connect in ways they might not otherwise.
This session is rooted in María Laura Ramírez Galleguillo's Ph.D. project on promoting meaningful social interactions between intercultural strangers, which Büşra had a chance to contribute to.

About the host
Büşra is a community practitioner and designer. She builds and manages communities through systems, operations, programming, and relationship management. She likes to design meaningful social interactions and works to strengthen interactive experiences alongside the operational processes.
She worked in the design, innovation, and management process of different communities, including ATÖLYE’s community of practice. At the moment she is responsible for the global operations of ATÖLYE Community from curation and engagement to operations and experiences.

The Facilitation Sandbox sessions are not about "experts" and "perfection." They are about trying new things out, pushing beyond the comfort zone, making mistakes, reflecting, and learning with peers.
The Sandbox is a testing ground, an experimental arena, and a space for us to hone our facilitation skills as a community.
