​Most people recognize that Capitalism is an improvement over previous systems. Even Marxists recognize that Capitalism led to a big improvement in overall well-being and prosperity. But is it the best system, or just one of many possible systems? Socialists see their system as a natural moral successor to Capitalism. Even if Socialism is not the answer, can we find a morally superior system?

​Ayn Rand views Capitalism not just as an improvement over previous systems, but as the only possible moral system. In her speech "What is Capitalism?", she outlines the history of the concept and illustrates how most people fundamentally misunderstand it.
