Tax + Family Policy "Potluck"

​Over the past few months, our team at IDEO.org has been collaborating with families as well as academics at the Urban Institute and the Williams institute to understand how the tax system can become more inclusive and better reflect and include the way people actually define "family". ​On April 9th, we're hosting an intimate gathering as a culmination of this work and a baton-pass moment. We're bringing together a few people in the advocacy and policy-making space, think tanks and policy academics, designers working within or adjacent to civic, policy, and tax issues into our office.

​Expect good conversation, inspiration and ideation on reimagining how the tax system can reflect the families we actually have –beyond adaptations and extensions of what exists. Hopefully, those attending will return to their spheres of influence with nuggets of inspiration for a more equitable path forward.
