EUDR for Indonesian Businesses: Act Now or Risk Market Access
(Programme Timings below)
Summary:
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) represents one of the most significant regulatory shifts affecting global agricultural and forest-based supply chains. By December 2026, companies exporting commodities such as rubber, coffee, cocoa, palm oil, timber, and soy to the European Union must demonstrate that their products are deforestation-free and fully traceable to the plot of land where they were produced.
For Indonesian exporters and producers, this regulation introduces both compliance challenges and strategic opportunities. Early preparation will be essential to maintain access to EU markets, strengthen sustainability credentials, and ensure the long-term competitiveness of Indonesia’s supply chains.
The regulatory landscape also continues to evolve. In June 2026, Indonesia's Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) issued Regulation No. 1/2026 on cross-border sharing of geospatial data, meaning exporters must now navigate both EU requirements and evolving domestic rules on how such data is collected and shared.
What to Expect:
The EUDR Masterclass aims to provide practical guidance, expert insights, and dialogue between specialists and Indonesian stakeholders to help businesses navigate this transition.
