About Event

If you are building in fintech, you already know the terrain: skeptical enterprise buyers, long compliance and procurement cycles in financial services, and the challenge of proving trust before you have scale. We built a program specifically for that reality.

Join us for an hour-long virtual info session on the SMU Fintech Accelerator, powered by MassChallenge. The Program connects fintech founders with Dallas's financial services and investor community, and is designed to grow Dallas's fintech ecosystem, including the city's Y'all Street movement, into a national hub for financial technology.

Founders are sourced globally, through SMU, Dallas, national, and international channels. Aside from travel costs, it is free to participate in, and we take zero equity.

In this session, you will get a full walkthrough of the program, including how our mentor and expert matching works, what the in-person intensives look like on the SMU campus in Dallas, and how to submit a strong application before the November 23 deadline.

We will also cover the program timeline, from application through the 16-week hybrid curriculum to the culminating Finale and Showcase, and leave plenty of time for your questions.

Since 2009, MassChallenge has accelerated more than 4,500 startups that have collectively raised over $16 billion. We believe early, before proof, before traction, before the market catches up. If you are building something that matters in fintech, we want to hear from you.

Applications close November 19, 2026.

Come ready with your questions.

What to Expect

  • A clear overview of the program structure, timeline, and what participation looks like week to week across the 16-week hybrid program.

  • Details on mentor and expert matching, the three in-person intensives in Dallas (Kickoff, Midpoint, and Finale/Demo Day), and pathways to enterprise and investor engagement.

  • A walkthrough of the application steps and what reviewers are looking for.

  • Open Q&A with the SMU and MassChallenge program team.

Who Should Attend

This session is for early-stage fintech founders, whether in payments, lending, wealthtech, insurtech, regtech, or related financial technology. Founders sourced through SMU, Dallas, national, or international channels are all welcome, and a minimum of three cohort seats are reserved each year for qualified SMU-affiliated ventures. If you are pre-revenue or pre-proof, even better: we believe in you before the market does.
