Junto: Transhumanism
As the world barrels into a cyberpunk future, we are confronted with the question of Transhumanism.
If you could upgrade your body and mind like software, would you?
Should we welcome technologies that could extend our lifespans, enhance our cognition, and merge us with machines—or are there hidden risks in re-engineering ourselves?
How do these possibilities reshape ideas of identity, freedom, and equality?
Will Transhumanism liberate us from biology—or enslave us to technology?
What is a Junto?
Benjamin Franklin founded the Junto Club as a way to discuss morals, politics, and natural philosophy to improve themselves and their community. The club was initially composed of twelve members who met on Friday evenings.
Our debates were to be conducted in the sincere spirit of inquiry after truth, without fondness for dispute or desire of victory. - Benjamin Franklin
