Burnout isn’t fixed by a vacation.
The wellness traveller is changing—and increasingly, clients are travelling not simply to escape, but because they need space to recover, reconnect and feel like themselves again.
The Burnout as Travel Series explores this emerging shift in wellness travel and what it means for travel advisors. Across four sessions, we’ll move from understanding the burnout traveller to designing for recovery, creating continuity, and building value around this evolving opportunity.
In this first session, we introduce the burnout traveller and explore the needs behind the words travel advisors hear every day: “I need a break.” “I can’t switch off.” “I don’t feel like myself.”
Together, we’ll look at what burnout actually is, how needs change across the recovery continuum, and why the right journey looks different depending on where a traveller is. We’ll also define what travel can genuinely offer, where it stops, and the important boundaries of the advisor’s role.
