About Event
Libraries are concerned about succession planning, yet fewer leaders seem eager to step into senior leadership roles. Why? Has the nature of leadership changed? Do the rewards outweigh the challenges?
In this active fishbowl discussion, we’ll explore ambition, burnout, and what today’s middle managers really think when they look at “moving up.” We’ll also consider what Library Land can do to make senior leadership roles attractive to promising leaders.
Fishbowl conversations replace presentations with participation. The guests start the conversation and invite participants to step in, contribute and shape the dialogue together.
