International Generalist Day 2026 🌍
Imagine you could meet new friends who understood your squiggly background? Well, now you can!
Join Gabby in North London for International Generalist Day — a global celebration happening simultaneously across cities worldwide on September 16th, 2026.
Gabby is hosting Generalists X Outdoor Swim at Kenwood (Hampstead) Ladies Pond to connect London-area women* generalists, for an informal meet up, outdoor swim and facilitated conversation.
You don't have to have swum outdoors before, but you must be a capable swimmer, as the water is deep and cold. If you're down for that, you just have to be a little bit brave, and be interested in joining an open conversation. All women* are welcome to this meet up.
The Plan:
8am: Meet outside the Pond
8.15am: Go get changed and get in the water (I will be there to hold your hand, as will the lifeguards!)
9.30am: Feeling invigorated and proud of yourself, we'll meet on a the meadow for conversation and cake.
What is a generalist?
Professionals who apply their skills across multiple domains, connect disparate ideas, or serve as "translators" between different teams and disciplines. If you've ever felt your career doesn't fit in a single box, this celebration is for you.

About your host
I'm Gabby Jahanshahi-Edlin, a Brand Culture Strategist based in London. I help individuals and organisations close the gap between what they do and what they say. My career has spanned Arts Education, nannying, Jewellery, Greetings Cards, founding a culture changing non-profit and now Brand Culture Strategy.
