Languages are not only something we learn. They are places where we meet.
Join us for an evening of conversations across four languages, cultures, and perspectives in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
For this edition of Language Commons Evenings, we'll gather around four language tables:
🇱🇹 Lithuanian 🇬🇧 English 🇫🇷 French 🇪🇸 Spanish
This isn't a language class or a traditional language exchange. It's a space to practise languages naturally, meet new people, and discover different perspectives through conversation.
Whether you're a native speaker, a learner, or simply curious, you're warmly welcome.
How the evening works
• When you arrive, you'll receive a name sticker where you can write the languages you speak.
• Choose the language table where you'd like to begin.
• Every 20 minutes, we'll move between tables—giving you the chance to practise another language and, just as importantly, meet a new group of people.
• If you only speak or feel comfortable in one language, that's absolutely fine. You can stay with that language while the people around you change.
• Conversation Cards will be waiting on the tables whenever the conversation needs a little spark.
No teachers. No lessons. No pressure.
Just languages, conversations, and people meeting people.

We're shaping the evening around the people who attend. We'd appreciate it if you could register in advance so we can prepare the tables and create the best possible experience for everyone.

Our host has kindly reserved his café space for us for the evening. As a small way of supporting the venue that is welcoming our community, we kindly ask everyone to get a drink before joining us in the reserved space.
