(English below👇)

FŪ-RIN Shakuhachi Sound Bath

FŪ-RIN brings together two ancient sound traditions:
the shakuhachi flute, carried by breath like wind through bamboo, producing naturally healing tones, and singing bowls, whose vibrations gently ground and restore the body’s nervous system.

Held in a quiet tatami room near Yoyogi Hachiman, this session invites deep rest, stress relief, and a moment to slow down and reconnect.

Sound baths work directly on the nervous system. Research suggests that sound-based meditation can:

• Activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest-and-digest response)
• Reduce stress and anxiety levels
• Lower heart rate and blood pressure
• Support emotional regulation and mental clarity

The vibrations of Tibetan singing bowls and the sounds of the shakuhachi are felt not only through the ears, but throughout the body, helping to guide the brain into slower alpha and theta states associated with deep relaxation and restoration.

No prior experience with meditation or sound therapy is needed. Simply lie down, get comfortable, and allow the sound to do the work.

This session is ideal for:

• Busy professionals feeling overstimulated or burnt out
• Anyone experiencing chronic stress or mental fatigue
• Those seeking deeper rest and nervous system regulation
• Anyone curious about sound therapy in a calm, grounded setting

About FŪ-RIN

FŪ-RIN is a collaboration between:

💁🏻‍♀️ Nanako Aramaki | Sound Therapist & Singing Bowl Player

Born and raised in Canada, Nanako has lived and worked across three continents, building a diverse career as a former agency COO and flamenco dancer. After experiencing burnout herself, she was drawn to create work centred on rest, healing, and care. She now leads a sound therapy practice supporting individuals in slowing down and reconnecting with themselves.

🪈 Yoshimi Tsujimoto | Shakuhachi Player

Born in Wakayama, Japan, Yoshimi is a graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts. She made her major debut as Sony Music’s first female solo shakuhachi artist. She has performed internationally and appeared widely on NHK and other media. A recipient of the Wakayama Prefecture Cultural Encouragement Award and the Ōkuwa Cultural Award, she is now pioneering new expressions that integrate traditional Japanese music with wellness.

Together, we specialise in Japanese-inspired sound bath experiences that combine vibration and breath to guide the body into a deeply restorative state.
