2nd Annual National Civics Bee Hawaii State Finals
Join us for the Hawai‘i State Finals of the National Civics Bee, where middle school students from across the state showcase their knowledge of civics and government. Finalists advanced by writing outstanding essays and will now compete in a live quiz-style competition for the chance to represent Hawai‘i at the National Championship in Washington, D.C.
Competition Format:
Rounds 1 & 2: Students answer game show–style civics questions live on stage using iPads.
Round 3: The top five scorers present their essays to the judges, followed by a Q&A. Judges will then determine the state champion.
Audience Participation: The audience can also play along on their phones during the first two rounds. The top audience scorer will win a prize!
