Teens Take Action: 3-Day Idea Sprint
Got an idea you haven’t done anything with yet?
Or a lot of curiosity — and no idea where to point it?
This is for you.
About the sprint
Teens Take Action: 3-Day Idea Sprint is a 90-minute-a-day online workshop where you’ll dig into your own strengths, skills, and resources — and build a real action plan toward an invention, a business, or a community initiative, or another initiative that matters to you.
These will be energizing sessions with other teens who are figuring it out too. — including breakout conversations where you share your ideas, hear theirs, and push each other forward.
Oh — and bring a friend. Seriously. It’s better that way.
What you’ll walk away with
• A full inventory of your strengths, skills, ideas, and resources
• A real action plan for the one that matters most — an invention, a business, community project or something else
• A Certificate of Completion (the kind you can put on a college application)
• A new network of peers who think like you do
What each day looks like
Day 1 What do you already have? (More than you think.)
Day 2 What’s your idea? Let’s shape it, and make it real.
Day 3 What’s your first move? Building your action plan.
Each session is 90 minutes on Zoom with breakouts, collaboration, and Idea Fuel-Ups between sessions.
Come ready to talk, share, and think out loud.

About your host
This sprint is built on the book Gen Z Teens Take Action: Stories of Circumstance, Passion and Opportunity by Kelli Peterson — which tells the stories of fourteen real teens who turned everyday curiosity into ideas and initiatives that led to podcasts, TEDx talks, White House visits, products on Target shelves, and more.
Kelli has spent her career at the intersection of innovation, entrepreneurship, and the organizations that support young people. She has brought this workshop to life with teens and watched what happens when a young person gets the right tools — and people in their corner who believe in their ideas. The 3-Day Idea Sprint is her way of making that experience available to any teen who is ready.
