Off the Record | A DTC Operators Dinner with Ezra Firestone, by Loop
Day one of Ecom North ends and everyone files into the same crowded bar.
We are doing something else.
One long table, thirty eight floors above the city at Aera. No panel, no pitch, no badge scanning. Just the conversation you actually came to Toronto for: what is working, what quietly is not, and the numbers nobody puts on a conference slide.
Over dinner, Ezra Firestone takes the room through the retention lessons he learned the expensive way. Then the table takes over.
Your host
Ezra Firestone is CEO of Zipify Apps and BOOM! Beauty, and the founder of Smart Marketer. He started selling online in 2007, built BOOM! into one of the most recognised pro age beauty brands in DTC, and has spent the last decade teaching operators how to turn one time buyers into repeat revenue. He is on stage at Ecom North earlier that day. At dinner he is off the stage, and off the record, about what it actually took.
Who should be at this table
Founders, growth leads and retention owners at consumer brands with real repeat or subscription revenue. If you are wrestling with churn, cancellation flows, or the gap between the first order and the second, you will be sitting with people solving the same problem.
The evening
Arrival drinks and shared plates from 6:30. One long table, a set menu with plant based, gluten free and alcohol free fully covered. Ezra speaks between courses. Done by 9:30.
Requesting a seat
