Reimagining Black Excellence: Pathways for Success for Black Neurodiverse Youth and Families

Many Black neurodivergent youth struggle with feeling misunderstood, isolated, or pressured to fit into expectations that do not reflect who they are.

This workshop explores identity development, disability confidence, self-worth, emotional wellness, and how families can help create supportive environments where Black neurodiverse youth can thrive.

About Rooted Together

Parenting a neurodivergent child can feel overwhelming, especially when navigating school systems, diagnoses, accommodations, advocacy, cultural expectations, and finding the right supports.

Rooted Together is a welcoming monthly community space created for Black parents, caregivers, guardians, and family members raising neurodivergent youth.

Together, we will explore practical advocacy tools, educational supports, disability confidence, emotional wellness, and community resources while building meaningful connections with other families who understand the journey.

Whether your child is diagnosed, awaiting assessment, self-identified, or you are simply looking for support and information, you are welcome here.

• Connect with other families
• Learn practical advocacy strategies
• Explore culturally affirming approaches to neurodiversity
• Gain tools to support your child and yourself
• Build community and collective care
