Introduction to Alma & the Venture World: A workshop exclusive to RBC Brewin Dolphin & Smart Works
Exclusive Invitation: Introduction to Alma & the Venture World
RBC Brewin Dolphin, in partnership with Smart Works, is delighted to invite you to a morning workshop with Alma Angels: an introduction to the work and mission behind one of Europe’s most diverse and active communities in angel investing.
Whether you’re driven by impact, innovation, or influence, angel investing is a meaningful way to shape the future, and to be at the table where decisions (and returns) are made. Join a practical workshop for you to step confidently into this world.
You’ll hear from Roxane Sanguinetti and David Fogel, Founding Partners of Alma Angels, who will share the story of Alma and the initiatives they’ve built to:
train and support first-time and experienced angel investors
help founders navigate fundraising and early growth
create pathways to long-term wealth creation, as founders and as investors
The workshop will be followed by a live pitch from an Alma-backed founder, offering a real example of how Alma supports entrepreneurs in practice, from early guidance to investor readiness and beyond.
This will be an informal and interactive session, with plenty of space for questions, discussion, and networking with peers from RBC Brewin Dolphin and the Smart Works community.

About Smart Works
Smart Works was launched in 2013 to help empower unemployed women with the clothes, coaching and confidence they need to succeed at their job interview and transform their lives.
We opened our first centre in Islington in 2013. Since then, we’ve grown to meet the need, opening 11 more centres across England and Scotland. Women are referred to us from job centres, refuges, the prison system, homeless shelters and mental health charities, among other organisations. We’re proud that we’ve supported more than 40,000 women to date, but we know there are thousands more that need our help.
