About Event

Just in time for the arrival of Autumn, join me in The Creativity Studio with Guest Creative Nance Scott of The Wellbeing Apothecary, where we'll learn natural ways to boost our immune system.

Nance is a wellness guide with over 20 years of experience helping people find simple ways to healthy living: natural remedies, yoga, Pilates, breathwork, meditation, and nervous system support.

She is passionate about sharing holistic lifestyle tips in simple, joyful ways.

What we'll cover:

Arrival Practice: As with all gatherings in The Hummingbird Nest, we'll begin with a short arrival practice.

Learn How to Make Elderberry Syrup: Nance will demonstrate the method she uses for making elderberry syrup. It's completely up to you how you'd like to participate; you're welcome to make it along with her in real time, or simply watch and save the recipe to try later.

While it simmers, she'll share the benefits of elderberry, why it helps fight off viruses, and how it supports the immune system.

If you'd like to make labels for your syrup, bring a couple of 3 x 3 inch labels and some colorful markers to design your own, regardless of whether you're making the syrup live or later on your own.

Supplies you'll need:

  • 1 - 16 oz mason jar for the final product

  • 1 cup dried elderberries (organic, non-irradiated, raw Sambucus nigra)

  • 1/2 - 1 cup honey

  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)

  • 3-5 whole cloves (optional)

For labels (optional):

  • A couple of 3 x 3 inch labels

  • Colorful markers

Learn Ways to Support Your Immune System: Nance will guide us through simple, hands-on techniques you can use anytime, including thymus tapping and acupressure points for immune and nervous system support.

Now is a great time to think about what's in your wellness toolkit for the season ahead. Let's nourish and boost our immune systems together this flu and cold season.
