About Event

A Sense of Belonging in London is an intimate panel evening and networking gathering designed for Cambridge alumni and friends who are building a meaningful life in one of the world's most demanding cities. London offers extraordinary opportunity, but it can also feel transactional, transient and quietly lonely. This evening is dedicated to the question that sits underneath every career move, every late train home and every Sunday spent alone in a new neighbourhood: how do we actually belong here?

Hosted in partnership with Lanna, and DOHE. You will hear London-based professionals share, candidly and without polish, how they have built careers, communities and inner steadiness in this city. After the panel, the conversation continues in a relaxed networking setting.

Whether you have just moved to London, returned after years abroad, or have lived here long enough to be quietly asking yourself whether it still fits, you are warmly welcome.

We are honoured to host this evening at the University Women's Club, a Grade II listed Victorian townhouse tucked into Audley Square in the heart of Mayfair, a short walk from Hyde Park, Bond Street and Green Park. The Club was founded in 1886 by a group of trailblazing women from Cambridge and London Universities. Its Cambridge roots run deep: the very first meeting of its founders was held in 1883 at the home of Gertrude Jackson of Girton College.
