Peaks & Alleys: A BART to BART Walk
Join us for a transit-accessible walk that visits panoramic peaks, hidden lanes, and stairway gardens across the city. We’ll explore North Beach, Chinatown, Pacific Heights, Hayes Valley, Upper Market, and the Mission District to finish at 16th St. Mission BART. Terrain is mixed: pavement, stairways, and dirt trails. Pace is a steady 2.2 - 2.5 miles per hour; we'll regroup as needed so that no one is left behind. Bring water, snacks, a bag lunch, layers for shifting weather, and anything else you need. Restrooms near the start and on the route. Total distance is about 9 miles. Prefer a shorter walk? We’ll never be far from a MUNI bus or streetcar. PLUS: Bone up on your Bay Area transit trivia to win Crosstown Trail gear. Hosted by SF Crosstown Trail.
