Tech Sabbath Dinner & Kickoff Ritual
Borrowing elements of The Sabbath from Judaism and Christianity, we're putting down tech down for 24 hours (from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday) and spending the time being more human and returning to our bodies after the work week. What insights might emerge when we disconnect from the central things that keep us on all week?
We're kicking off with dinner and a group ritual on Friday.
Dinner 🥗🥙
We're catering food from Souvla (salads, pitas, etc)
The Commitment 🤝
We're collectively taking a break from technology (phones, laptops, tablets, kindles, smart watches). We're offline sundown Friday to sundown Saturday.
The Prep ✍🏼
To help us get ahead of needing tech on Saturday, we'll:
Go through our Saturday calendars and hand write / print out all the directions we need for the day
Text anyone who needs to know that we’ll be offline for the day
Saturday Plans ☀️
We're planning a few activities on Saturday and will share with the group as we get closer to the weekend! Email us if you have an event you'd like to recommend :)
