Pocket Museum is a small, intimate gathering where we bring the ordinary things that hold extraordinary stories.
Think of it as a little museum with no glass cases, no velvet ropes and no “important” objects.
Just you, your object, and the story it carries.
This is a space to slow down, share, listen and discover the meaning tucked inside the things we choose to keep.

🔎 WHAT IS THIS EVENT ABOUT?
We all have things we keep for reasons that may not make sense to anyone else.
An old photograph. A school badge. A piece of clothing. A handwritten note. A toy. A receipt. A random little object you simply cannot bring yourself to throw away.
At Pocket Museum, you’ll bring one of these objects and give it a moment in the spotlight.
Through show-and-tell, curious reflection and a gallery walk, we’ll explore not only what these objects are, but what they hold — memories, people, places, versions of ourselves, feelings and little pieces of our lives.
Because sometimes, an object is more than an object.
It is evidence that something happened.

No public-speaking expertise required.

🎒 WHAT IS REQUIRED OF YOU?
Bring ONE object.
It can be precious, ridiculous, ordinary, sentimental, strange, useful, useless or completely inexplicable to everyone except you.
The only requirement is that it has a story you’re willing to share.
You’ll also be invited to listen to the stories of others with curiosity and care.
There is no pressure to share anything deeply personal. You decide what parts of your story you want to bring into the room.

01 — ARRIVE & SETTLE IN
Get comfortable, meet the other museum-goers and place your object in the space.
02 — THE STORY BEHIND THE OBJECT
Using a few guided prompts, we’ll take some time to explore what your object holds and prepare it for its moment in the museum.
03 — SHOW & TELL
One by one, we’ll share our objects and the stories behind them.
04 — GALLERY WALK
The objects become our little exhibition. Walk around, look closer, read the stories and spend some time with what others have brought.
05 — ARCHIVAL TAGGING
You’ll leave a little mark on someone else's museum piece — an archival tag capturing what their story made you feel, think about or receive.
06 — REFLECTION & CLOSE
We’ll come back together, reflect on what we encountered and consider what it means to preserve the things that matter to us.

Materials for the reflective and archival activities, plus light refreshments, will be provided.
Your ticket covers the full Pocket Museum experience, including all materials and refreshments.
You just need to bring yourself, your object and its story.
