This seminar will explore the multi-layered expansion process of Korean web novels—from online serialization to print and digital publication, webcomics, and screen adaptations.
It will provide concrete strategies for optimizing serialization approaches based on platform characteristics, and share targeted reader acquisition techniques for specific genres.
The session will also feature detailed analyses of successful cases of global market expansion and IP diversification.

The Korean web novel market has significantly evolved beyond the traditional online serialization model. Today, it encompasses a comprehensive IP value chain that extends to print publishing, e-books, webcomics, dramas, and film adaptations—establishing a dynamic new content industry ecosystem.
In this seminar, two successful and currently active authors from major platforms will share their expertise. They will offer practical insights into planning serialization projects tailored to different platforms and reveal proven methods for building a loyal readership in niche genres, supported by real-world examples.
Additionally, the seminar will provide an in-depth look into the international expansion of Korean web novels, including successful IP strategies that have transformed original works into multi-format media franchises.
