SYNTHIA STUDIO and IS NOT MUSIC present HOW I PLAY: a music series wherein an artist shares their personal connection to a musical instrument through demonstration, talk and performance.
the next edition on february 26 will feature producer/guitarist/sculptor of sounds MICHAEL HALDEMAN with the soma pulsar-23 modular drum machine! check out michael on ig at instagram.com/haldeman.
attendees will watch the artist up close playing an instrument they love and hear directly from them about how they use it to create music. attendees may also learn a bit about how the instrument works on a technical level and try it themselves.

some notes on the event:
the event is located at synthia studio in greenwich village, manhattan. rsvps will see synthia studio's address after rsvp'ing.
the studio door is to the left side of the main 17 cornelia entrance. you will see our small "artifacts" logo on the door. we'll open at 6pm, and the event will start soonafter, when all rsvps have arrived. the event will be over by about 8pm. please arrive on time :)

this event is free, with limited capacity. if you cannot attend, please change your rsvp so we can get an accurate sense of numbers.
synthia is a cozy recording studio, located down one flight of stairs. seating will be chairs/floor/standing room. masks are encouraged, and will be provided for anyone who would like one. if you are feeling under the weather we ask that you do not attend.
