About Event

Experience Mia in a way you never have before. Join in a round of Secret Capture-the-Flag inside one of Minneapolis’ most beautiful landmarks during Meet at Mia. It’s like the game you remember from childhood, with one major twist: we play in secret! Think spies vs. soldiers.

THE WHAT

Inconspicuous Games leads secret field games in landmarks around the Twin Cities. Games like Capture-the-Flag, Reverse Hide and Seek (aka Sardines), Blob Tag… all played entirely in secret. It’s one of the most unique way to experience a rush of adrenaline.

THE HOW

The rules and objectives remain largely the same as the classic game: capture the flag from the opposing team without getting tagged. In this version, we're always trying to avoid being caught by the public! Sneak around galleries while also sneaking a glimpse of the art. ;)

Players will gather inside the museum for brief instructions before game play, which will take place during the museum's Summer Series: Meet at Mia.

THE WHO

This is for those interested in something a little different, meeting new friends, and toying with the idea of social risk. This is a walking game only, and no level of athleticism is required, though this one's for adults only.

You’ll be joined by Game Runners (and founders of Inconspicuous Games) Molly Sonsteng & Sam Utne.

Molly is a producer and experience designer who believes play is serious business. She co-founded Caveday, a community that helps people find deeper focus and a healthier relationship to work, and she runs Madcap Factory, a production house that builds games and experiences designed to bring more mischief into everyday life (ahem… Secret Capture the Flag, anyone?!).

Sam focuses on designing, building, and engaging communities through unique experiences. He strives to understand the challenges that businesses face and helps them map a path to success. Sam is a strategist, creative director, and entrepreneur who has worked with startups, Fortune 500s, and everything between. He most recently launched the Minneapolis Sailboat Pond and hosted the inaugural Minneapolis Snowball Summer Classic during the 2026 Minneapolis Aquatennial.
