Sit and Steep is back! Round one filled the apartment, went through more hot water than we planned for, and ended with people lingering past the last pour. So we're making it a series. Thank you to everyone who came and made it what it was. We're excited to refine things and host you again.
The shape of it: an afternoon of gongfu-style tea at a friend's apartment. A few teas, lots of small pours, twenty-ish people, snacks.
Gongfu just means brewing tea in small pots with short infusions, so you get a bunch of pours out of the same leaves and the flavor shifts as the afternoon goes on. It's a fun way to drink tea and a good excuse to sit around and talk.
We'll have at least three teas picked out. Probably something light, something darker, something interesting!
If there's a tea you've been curious about, drop it in the form when you register (by Tuesday 6/9 so we can track it down) and we'll try to have it on the table.
Bring yourself. Bring some porcelain if you've got your own. Bring a tea if there's one you want to share.
