βTHIS EVENT -
βKashmir is the northern most state in India and borders Pakistan, Afghanistan and China. The region has been under conflict since India's independence from the British in 1947. Chef Deepak, who owns and runs 'Bhuna' moved to the US when he was 9 with his parents.
βChef Deepak and Bhuna bring to you authentic Kashmiri-style Indian cuisine - a regional cuisine you won't find at most Indian restaurants.
βKashmir holds a special place in my heart. I first visited when I was 9, staying in a massive houseboat carved from wood on Dal Lake. The food was made fresh on the boat for each meal with local ingredients, fruits, and nuts, and I fell in love with Kashmiri food almost instantly.
βI'm especially excited for you to try Dum Aloo - slow-cooked baby potatoes in aromatic Kashmiri spices - one of my all-time favorite preparations of potatoes.
βJoin me for this dinner. You can order your own or join us for a community style meal and try a lot of the items on their menu.
