This is a space to connect with your local Kindred community, swap travel and hosting stories, share tips, and ask questions about Kindred directly with fellow members. Whether you are a seasoned host, a curious traveler, or somewhere in between, you are welcome here.
✨ What are Shrinky Dinks?
Shrinky Dinks are thin plastic sheets you draw or color on, then heat using a heat gun or the oven. They curl up, shrink to about 1/5 of the original size, and get thicker as they heat.
In the end, you wind up with custom keychains!
🎨 Supplies included with your ticket:
1 shrinky sheet
2 keychain rings
Scissors, color sharpies, a hole puncher and a heat gun will be shared among the participants.
You are welcome to bring your own supplies for extra fun! We recommend permanent markers (sharpies) and/or colored pencils. Avoid washable or water-based markers as they fade or disappear.

About your host
✨ Coco is a Montreal-based remote worker and software engineer who uses Kindred to live out her favorite way to travel: slipping into the everyday rhythm of a new place and experiencing life as a local. Originally from Hangzhou, China, she moved to Vancouver at 14 and has been exploring Canada — and the world — ever since.
Coco’s curiosity comes alive in the small details: community centers, libraries, farmers’ markets, neighborhood grocery stores, and the tiny rituals that make each place feel like home. She travels mostly solo while working, occasionally pausing for shorter adventures.
