How can we promote agency in school-age kids?

Schedule:

​​​​​​​​​​** 6:05 PM: Opening and Introduction ** We’ll do brief introductions and a topic-related icebreaker question. This is a chance to meet new members of the society.

​​​​​​​​​​** 6:10 PM: Resolution Presentation ** We'll introduce the resolution at hand, setting the stage for informed debate and introspection. Your initial vote will mark the starting point of our collective exploration.

​​​​​​​​​​** 6:15- 7:30 PM: Structured Dialogue ** This is the heart of our assembly. Speak, listen, and reflect as each member presents their stance, supported by personal insight, scholarly knowledge, or philosophical pondering. We will have a 10 minute break at 6:45 to walk around and mingle.

​​​​​​​​​​** 7:40 PM: Reflective Re-Vote ** After a session of thoughtful dialogue, we reassess our positions. Has the tide of opinion shifted?

​​​​​​​​​​** 7:50 PM: Informal Mingling ** We will move over to either a restaurant or ANINA's, where we will continue the conversation over food and drinks.
