ββ Why the Just Love Apprenticeship?
βSince 2013, over 1000 students have passed through Just Loveβs training, mentoring and discipleship programme, with many more engaging in prayer, volunteering and advocacy.
βBut thousands more have missed out β especially those who are:
βBased in London, where our traditional model doesn't work.
βLiving in other cities with no Just Love Group.
βManaging work, family or other commitments that make traditional Just Love Groups inaccessible.
βThis generation is marked by two things: unprecedented spiritual openness and an intense passion for justice and the environment. The moment for deep discipleship is now β including around mercy and justice.
βThe Just Love Apprenticeship opens up Just Love's training, resources and leadership development to every Christian student and student worker around the UK, no matter their context, location or circumstances. Join us to find out more!
βπ± The Just Love Apprenticeship
βA brand-new model for justice, impact and leadership development 2026.
βJustice sits at the heart of Christian discipleship. Yet our research (Eido & Just Love, 2022) shows that Christian students do not feel equipped or released to practice justice in their context or community. We found 3 central issues:
β1. Disconnection - 85% care deeply about justice, but only 40% are making significant life decisions aligned with it.
β2. Disinformation - Encouragingly, students are shaped by church and Scripture β but also by news, podcasts and social media. There are huge needs around discernment and worldview, especially in our frantic political environment.
β3. Distrust of the Church - Nearly 100% of students believe the church is central to Godβs plans for justice in the world β
but only 35% feel it is meeting local needs, and a mere 14% that the church is effectively addressing systemic injustice.
βπ― We want to change this story.
βWe want to:
βBuild trust in the local church
βStir passion for Scripture and the God of justice
βCreate space for action, learning and growth - especially for those young leaders who carry a burning passion for justice and need somewhere to put it
βCrucially, the Apprenticeship is built around deep partnership with the local church β enabling us to work more closely than ever with churches across the UK.
