Chinese New Year

​Celebrate Chinese New Year with the Tallahassee Chan Center at our annual community gathering.

​This evening includes a shared vegetarian dinner, live music by the FSU Chinese Musical Ensemble, and a short reflection by Guo Gu to mark the start of the new year.

​Over the past several years, our Chinese New Year celebration has become one of our most well-attended community events. It’s a relaxed, welcoming evening that brings together longtime practitioners, friends of the center, and people visiting for the first time.

​The Tallahassee Chan Center is a community space offering meditation, classes, workshops, and residential and non-residential retreats throughout the year. Our programs are rooted in Chan (Zen) practice and are open to people of all backgrounds.
