The Talk before The Talk: Raising kids who understand consent, boundaries, and bodily autonomy
Join Her House for a conversation about helping kids and teens understand consent, boundaries, and body autonomy—with clinical neuropsychologist and author Dr. Katie Davis, Psy.D., and psychiatrist and author Dr. Suzanne Garfinkle-Crowell, MD.
Leave with practical, age-appropriate tools to continue the conversation at home.
We’ll explore when to start these conversations, how to adapt them as children grow, and how everyday interactions can help kids and teens recognize and respect boundaries. We’ll also discuss helping them speak up when something feels wrong—without creating unnecessary fear—and building parents’ confidence when their own experiences or worries shape the conversation.
Ticket proceeds will benefit Friends of NYC Nurse-Family Partnership.
Books by both speakers will be available for purchase.
