Poppy Presents: Women Claiming Their Space in the Outdoors
Join us for an inspiring conversation with three incredible women who have forged their own paths in outdoor adventure. Through personal stories and thoughtful discussion, our panelists will share pivotal moments when they realized their potential as leaders, how they broke away from traditional molds, and the unique perspectives they bring to guiding and mentorship.
Holly Mackin spent many summers playing in Grand Teton National Park, where she became a mountain guide. Her passion for climbing takes her to the southwest each spring and fall, while she spends winters teaching snow science and leading Women's backcountry programs for The Mountain Guides.
Shelia Walsh Reddy is a climber, mother and conservation professional who has been supported by organizations like the American Alpine Club of NC. She is dedicated to advocating for the Teton climbing community through stewardship and engagement.
Lisa Van Scriver has guided over 100 Grand Teton ascents and worked with the Bridger Teton Avalanche Center for 10 years. Her latest project, Bigger Than Me, explores connecting herself and her guests with deeper meaning in outdoor adventure.
These women will share their journeys of resilience, leadership, and the importance of building supportive communities to ensure the future of outdoor sports is inclusive and empowering.
