Mount Whymper
This 18.2 km out-and-back is a demanding mountain adventure that gains over 1,000 meters of elevation on the way to the summit of Mount Whymper.
From start to finish, the trail is steep and requires a good level of fitness, making it an excellent challenge for experienced hikers looking to earn their views.
The route traverses beautiful backcountry terrain and features several overgrown sections that require careful attention to the trail. Along the way, we'll follow ribbons and trail markers as we steadily climb toward the summit.
We'll take some time to relax, enjoy lunch, snap a few photos, and soak in the scenery before beginning our descent.
This is a long and strenuous day on the trail, so come prepared with plenty of food, water, and layers.
While the distance alone is significant, the continuous elevation gain and steep terrain are what make this hike truly challenging.
