Summer Fridays are free outdoor micro-adventures around DC designed to get you outside and find your people. This is for the person who comes alive when they're outside.
Hang-Out Spot
🐱⛵🍕 Catboat Pizza Bar: We're gathering on the waterfront with views of the Potomac and planes landing at DCA. We'll swap stories about favorite trails, outdoor obsessions, and the trips we keep putting off.
The evening wraps as the sun dips below the horizon. Stick around and finish your last sip or bite. When you're ready to head out, buddy up for the bike ride back or grab the metro.
Early Meet-Up Point (optional):
🚲 Gateway Park: Grab your bike or bikeshare and meet us in Rosslyn at 5:30 to ride over to Cat Boat Pizza. We'll do a quick intro before heading down the Mt. Vernon Trail. The ride is about 30-min long on one of the most beautiful bike paths in the DMV.

The Logistics
When: Friday, June 26th. Meet in Rosslyn at 5:30pm or 6:00 pm at Catboat Pizza.
Where: Gateway Park
How to get there: Bike or Bikeshare if you're meeting us at Gateway Park. If you want to make your own way to Catboat Pizza, then arrive around 6pm.

DC Day Trips was founded to make the outdoors more accessible to all DC residents (no car? no problem), and to foster a community of like-minded explorers seeking connection.
This summer, we are hosting trips to hike, paddle, explore, and gather in the incredible outdoor spaces the DMV has to offer. Destinations only 1-3 hours away from DC. Visit our website to learn more.
