How I Actually is a monthly, members-only roundtable by Friends of Screate Labs. Teach from receipts.
Every third Saturday afternoon. 20 people. One table. Three people teach something they've actually done.
Each person gets 20 minutes:
10 min — How I actually did X: What you did. What happened. The mistakes. What worked. Show the receipts. No slides needed.
10 min — The room gets into it: Questions, disagreements, different approaches, and relevant experiences from around the table.
Then we move to the next person.
The point is simple: everyone should leave knowing how to do something they couldn’t do before.
Why this exists
Our first recurring ritual, Curious Walking Club, started with a few friends in HCMC and traveled across cities within its first 10 weeks.
Along the way, we noticed something: meeting interesting people was only the beginning. People came back, stayed after walks, shared what they knew, helped each other, and started contributing to the room themselves.
So we're experimenting with a deeper room.
Friends of Screate Labs is built around curiosity + agency: learn from interesting people, then bring something useful back. How I Actually is where we make that exchange explicit.
The room is intimate. The knowledge doesn’t have to stay there. We document these conversations so useful ideas can travel beyond the 20 people around the table, through video, clips, and other How I Actually media.
