LSLab Berlin 10.5: Our 10-Year Anniversary Summer Party
Ten years of LSLab Berlin.
Our fifth Lab of the year.
One rather special summer evening to celebrate the people who made it all possible. 🎉
Join us for a rooftop summer party with a wonderful view of the Fernsehturm, light snacks, drinks, music and, of course, a string of Liberating Structures exploring what it takes to build a community and keep it alive and thriving.
LSLab Berlin began with the passion and excitement of Sylvia, Anton and Timon, and has continued through the care, courage and energy of many people since. Co-curators Anja, Ina, Martin and Tas helped carry it through different chapters. Over the years, our Design Team members have shaped each Lab together, then stepped forward to facilitate it, often trying a Liberating Structure or facilitating in front of the community for the first time. Alongside our generous hosts and devoted community members, they kept us learning and experimenting before, during and after Covid. This evening is a celebration of all of you.
It is also for anyone joining us for the first time. You don’t need to know anything about Liberating Structures. Curiosity is plenty. Our community has always been a place where people can learn by joining in, and where being new is not a disadvantage.
At a time when so many people feel disconnected, Liberating Structures still offer something beautifully practical: ways to bring the humans together and help us be at our best, together.
We’ll also be *raffling copies of the new book Liberating Structures: Stories from the Field, along with a few other fun prizes. Several Berlin-based authors, including Sylvia, and Anja, will be there to sign copies.
And because this is LSLab, we won’t plan every part of the party for you. Last year, the community created the dance playlist together in real time, and it became a rather brilliant example of what a group can co-create when everyone gets to contribute. We may have to try that again...
Register early: the first 10 people to sign up will automatically have their name added to the book raffle.
Doors open at 18:30. Our facilitated Lab runs from 19:00–21:00, then the music continues and you’re welcome to stay for a drink, a conversation, or until we close down the bar. We have an indoor space too, so the celebration goes ahead whatever Berlin’s summer weather decides to do.
Come celebrate the people who made LSLab Berlin what it is, and help us imagine where we might take it next. ❤️
