​Greg Palmer is the Lead Solutions Engineer at Alluxio. Greg has over 30 years of experience in the software industry, including time at open source companies like Dremio, Mesosphere, Cloudera and Red Hat. Greg is a certified Hadoop Developer and Hadoop Administrator and has spent years helping IT organizations plan, develop and deploy big data environments. At Alluxio, Greg helps customers bring their data closer to compute while reducing costs and improving performance for Spark, Presto, Drill, Impala and other analytics environments.

​Greg was born in Brooklyn, NY and now resides in the Albany, NY area. When not developing, selling or supporting enterprise software, Greg enjoys spending time with his family, camping and flying airplanes.
