Human Plant Wisdom
Travelling through the four seasons and understanding the plant practices that move with them: foraging and flower essences in spring, harvesting and drying through summer, seed-collecting and pruning in autumn, and the quiet work of rest and preparation in winter.
We'll begin grounded — a short meditation to arrive in the body, then a deeper practice to connect with what we already carry: our own inner archive of the plant world. We'll illustrate what surfaces, and share in a circle.
From there, we'll move through the wild plants of Sinai in seasonal order — their shape, color, medicine, and the Jabaliya practices built around them — alongside the plants many of us already know from Portugal. Then: hands in the dirt (or the table, at least). A spread of fresh and foraged plants for us to taste, touch, smell and journal with — following curiosity wherever it leads.
We'll close by making Fire Cider together — a traditional remedy for the cold season, carried across many cultures — each of us pouring our own intentions into the jar as we go. This is medicine made the old way: with attention, with each other, with care.
