​Join Counterspell Games at Love & Legends Books for a night of adventure, as we call on brave heroes to wield magic, weapons, and their wits against perilous foes!

​Whether it's your first time playing an immersive role-playing game, or you slay dragons for breakfast, you'll love our in-person experiences!

​We'll have everything you need to play, from dice, to printed character sheets, to NA drinks and snacks. Just bring your sense of adventure!

​Our three amazing Game Masters (GMs) will guide you through every moment of epic triumph, hilarious pitfall, and tender connection within the game, helping you step into our original world, run on the Daggerheart system.

​TL;DR: You don’t need to know how to play, just bring yourself, an appetite for adventure, and maybe a friend!

​What you'll experience at a Counterspell Game Session:

• ​A completely original story, all in one sitting. Our adventures are finely-tuned "one-shots" - deeply satisfying plot arcs that are completable in one session. And because it's all driven by the people at your table, no two games are ever the same.

• ​Explore Riftsong, our vast, original cosmic fantasy setting. From space fairing mages to gritty brass laden machine guilds, musical weaponry and ancestry woven as scarves, flying sheep and amphibious wolves, Riftsong is a space of endless possibilities.

• ​Choose your hero, tell their story. We've built a cast of diverse and intriguing playable characters to suit your desired game experience. Each comes complete with a deep backstory that interlocks with the wider lore of Riftsong, signature equipment & weapons, and unique abilities.

• ​Make new friends IRL! All of our events are completely in person, with no screens. Take a break from notifications and doomscrolling, meet new people, and share a creative experience.
