Winter Retreat in Vail

​The FC Winter Retreat is our most selective executive learning experience. Each January, sixteen senior practitioners gather in Vail, Colorado, for four days of intensive case consultation, strategic reflection, and peer learning. Designed for experienced coordinators, investigators, and institutional leaders, the retreat provides the time and space to step away from day-to-day operations and think deeply about the systems they lead.

​Hosted at a private partner property in the Rocky Mountains, the Winter Retreat emphasizes depth over breadth. Participants work alongside FC’s senior faculty through live case analysis, operating model reviews, leadership discussions, and collaborative planning. With open afternoons and intentionally limited attendance, the experience balances rigorous professional development with meaningful opportunities for reflection and renewal.

Unlike our larger Seattle Summit, the Winter Retreat prioritizes collaborative problem solving, confidential case consultation, institutional strategy, and leadership development in a small-group environment.
