​Surviving sepsis is something to celebrate. But what happens after you survive?

​In 2015, Jackie Yeagley went in for what was supposed to be a routine surgery. A surgical complication led to sepsis, septic shock, multi-organ failure, a ventilator, and two cardiac arrests. Her family was told she might not survive the night.

​She did.

​But going home wasn't the end of her story. In many ways, it was just the beginning.

​Join us at In Light Hyperbarics during Sepsis Awareness Month for an intimate evening with Jackie as she shares the part of survival we don't talk about enough: what it can be like to come home to a body, brain, and life that don't quite feel the same.

​Jackie will share her own experience navigating the physical, cognitive, and emotional changes that followed septic shock, the questions she wishes she had known to ask, and the lessons she has learned about finding her voice, advocating for herself, and giving herself grace along the way.

​Whether you are a sepsis survivor, love someone who is, work in healthcare, or simply want to better understand what can happen after survival, you are welcome in this conversation.

​Because surviving the hospital shouldn't be where the information ends.
