SSGL x a16z's Tech Week (3 events!)
Three nights, three conversations about what it actually takes to build humanity's future in space. As part of #SFTechWeek, Small Steps & Giant Leaps is hosting a series of in-person events for founders, engineers, researchers, investors, and anyone serious about the off-world economy. Each event has its own RSVP on Partiful, so come to one or come to all three.
Tuesday, Oct 6, 7:00pm PT
In-Space Manufacturing Demo Day
Space is becoming a place we build. Startups working on microgravity semiconductors, in-space 3D printing, robotic assembly, materials processing, and in-situ resource utilization will bring prototypes and test rigs to the floor, with founders on hand to take hard technical questions.

Wednesday, Oct 7, 7:00pm PT
How to Govern the Moon (Black tie)
We are going back to the Moon to stay, and the 1967 Outer Space Treaty never planned for mining companies, permanent bases, or two rival blocs racing for the lunar south pole. Our expert panel takes on resource rights, the Artemis Accords versus the China and Russia led ILRS coalition, and what happens when their operations collide. Not a lecture. An argument worth dressing up for.

Thursday, Oct 8, 7:00pm PT
Debate! Space Based Data Centers
Orbital compute is no longer a pitch-deck fantasy. Two sides make their case on stage: nearly continuous solar power with no land or cooling water, versus launch costs, heat rejection in vacuum, radiation, and hardware no technician can reach. Then the floor opens to a room that knows thermal management and launch economics well enough not to let a weak claim slide.

Location details and full descriptions are on each Partiful page.
