About the Responsible AI Lighthouse Fellowship
The Responsible AI Lighthouse Fellowship is a 23-week paid workforce development program launching July 2026, funded by the Maryland Department of Labor. Fellows train as AI-augmented building energy compliance analysts, working on real Maryland buildings using EcoGuard, Orivia Tech's AI platform. Fellows earn up to $10,000 in stipend, complete BPI Building Science Principles and Google AI Essentials certifications, and work from Industrious Pike and Rose in North Bethesda and bwtech South at UMBC with direct mentorship from industry leaders.
This is not an internship. It is a career launchpad built for the next generation of Maryland's clean energy workforce.
Applications open to Maryland college students and recent graduates ages 18 to 24. Win GridHack and you get automatic placement.
