Afro-Asian Connections: Researchers Networking Evening
This event brings together scholars from across the university who are studying the diverse array of engagements between Africa and Asia. This event is for students and staff who are doing research, or have an interest in doing research about Afro-Asian connections from any disciplinary perspective. The aim is to promote academic collaboration between scholars working on similar topics who may not know of each other's work due to disciplinary boundaries.
The form of our event will be a roundtable at which all registered participants will briefly introduce themselves and their research, followed by breaking up into small groups based on discipline or regional interests (these groups will be allocated once we have registrations). At the end we will have a networking session over food and drinks. We also hope to use this event to gauge the potential interest in an Asia-Africa Connections conference at Cambridge.
