XRPL Hackathon @ Blockchain Kaigi 2025
This XRPL Hackathon is a global event focused on building innovative applications on the XRP Ledger. Participants will ideate, build, and present XRPL projects. The event is organized by the team at IIT Bombay and Ripple's University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI).
This hackathon features online and hybrid participation options to help you bring your ideas to life.
🛠 Challenge Tracks
We have two distinct options for participants. You can choose the specific Insurance challenge or build a solution of your choice in the Open Track.
Option 1: The Insurance Challenge Focus on the automatic settlement of insurance claims (e.g., MJP-JAY/PM-JAY scenarios) as detailed on the official event website.
Option 2: The Open Track Build any innovative project on the XRPL that solves a real problem.
The Goal: Build a financial service MVP that leverages the XRP Ledger's core features.
Focus Areas: Payments, Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization, RLUSD integration, or Decentralized Identity (DID).
What success looks like:
RLUSD-based apps
DID-integrated fintech identity flows
SDKs for other developers to easily integrate XRPL features like RLUSD, escrows, and DIDs into their apps
Payment apps, microfinance solutions, or RWA Tokenization platforms
